Company Overview
ControlAir is a leading manufacturer of precision pneumatic and electro pneumatic control products essential to automated industrial equipment, process control systems and instrumentation, laboratory research and analysis, energy management, fluid power, robotics, and valve automation applications. The company's reputation for low-cost, high performance, world-class quality products--which include current-to-pressure (I/P) transducers, voltage-to-pressure (E/P) transducers, precision air pressure regulators, rolling diaphragm air cylinders and custom engineered devices--is based on a history of customer satisfaction. ControlAir distinguishes itself from competitors in the unique ability to adapt its products to customer-specific applications through joint development projects and startegic design partnerships.

Founded in 1987, ControlAir is a closely-held, privately owned company whose stockholders include key management personnel. Dedicated effort, in combination with vast knowledge of pneumatic controls technology and its markets, has provided ControlAir with annualized average sales growth of 25% over the history of the company. Continual investment in research and development has been made in order to produce a steady stream of of new products that will fuel future growth. Development of a world wide ditribution network has led to an active, international presence on every continent from North and South Maerica to Europe and the Far East. Over 10% of ControlAir's sales are outside the U.S.

In October of 1987, significant manufacturing capacity was added when ControlAir opened its new headquarters located in a 26,500 square foot engineering and production facility in Amherst, New Hampshire. The new building features a technology/application center; offering ControlAir's customers newly-expanded CAD/CAM product design capabilities for quick response to demands for product customization to fit specific application needs.

ControlAir's customer-driven, "flat" management structure minimizes corporate overhead and staff, allowing the company to be very price competitive. In addition, its automated inventory control operation minimizes inventory, while assuring customers of in-stock availability and on-time delivery.

The company's capability to manufacture ISO 9001-compliant products to tightly controlled specifications and processes allows ControlAir to offer solutions with higher performance standards, increased dependability and tighter quality standards than might be found elsewhere in the market.
